Mushroom® Packaging is a great replacement for EPS, EPP, and EPE foams. However, it’s not going to look or feel the same. Your customers will know as soon as they open their package that they received something special, something sustainable. Each part is unique, showcasing the silhouette of the seed husks we use. We can tune the appearance, and performance of your parts based on your needs, aesthetic preferences, and bio-region.

Design

Whether you’re replacing an existing expanded plastic part or starting from scratch, our in-house team of expert designers and engineers will work with you to customize Mushroom® Packaging for your application. We’ve come up with designs to replace molded and fabricated foams, as well as a variety of other protective packaging materials. Tooling

Production “grow-trays” are produced to shape your parts. These grow-trays are engineered to last for a number of years, and will eventually be recycled. Mushroom® Packaging parts take about a week to grow, and we are able to scale the number of grow-trays to accommodate your monthly unit volume and delivery requirements.

Tunable Materials

We can develop a specific blend of packaging parts to suit your needs. Based on what feedstocks we use, and how we grow and process your parts, a wide range of densities and material properties are possible. Our design engineers will help you select the blend that’s optimized for your application.

Lead Times
